We are pleased to announce the 1st Ph.D Workshop in Accounting Theory, moderated by J. Bertomeu, C. Li, I. Marinovic, S. Terry and F. Zhou. The workshop is a one-day event on Monday, August 6th, one day after JATC at George Washington University, and intended as a collaborative exercise to think about topics and papers within a particular area relevant to accounting theory. The workshop combines lectures and hands-on experiences, and is targeted toward a small group to encourage interactions (10-20 attendees). It is open to Ph.D students and interested faculty in accounting and related areas. Please find a preliminary program below. The first topic in the series is Theory and Empirical Analysis; if you are interested, please send an email to Ashley Hartford at ahartfor@ucsd.edu. You will need to register separately from the Junior Accounting Theory Conference as these are two separate events.
The conference is held at the George Washington University School of Business, 2201 G Street, Washington, DC 22052 in room Dukes 254. As the conference takes place on Sunday, you MUST enter the building from its main entrance on 22nd Street. Please make sure you bring an ID with you.
